Facelift
Over time, our exposure to the sun, the pull of gravity, and our facial expressions can cause lines, folds, and sagging skin as our skin loses its elasticity. A facelift can reverse the appearance of jowls, neck bands, a double chin, marionette lines, or down-turned corners of the mouth by removing excess skin and tightening the tissues of the face.
The Procedure
Facelifts are performed by making incisions in the hairline, behind the ear, in the natural creases of the ear, and underneath the chin to hide the incisions and any scarring. The process lifts and repositions the skin while trimming away excess skin. Recovery time can range from one to two weeks before you will be able to resume full social interactions. During recovery, makeup can be applied as long as you avoid the incisions. Rigorous activity can resume within 30 days.
